Hi everyone,

Is anyone else having this problem?
  1. W:Failed to fetch http://packages.linuxdeepin.com/deepin/dists/precise/InRelease  Unable to find expected entry 'restricted/source/Sources' in Release file (Wrong sources.list entry or malformed file)
  2. , E:Some index files failed to download. They have been ignored, or old ones used instead.
Copy the Code

Can someone tell me what the correct repository link should be if this is wrong.

Thank you

Sometimes i got the same problem like you. i fixed it by re-updating [apt-get update].
I think it could be because of slow internet connection.(Sorry for My English)

thank you for your replies. I will give them a try.

@clicker - your English is good. Only one tense issue with 'got'. Alternatives are 'get' or better still in that sentence use 'have'. e.g. "Sometimes I have the same problem like you."

Hi there,

I still have the same problem. I have tried all the alternative servers with no success.

I copied the sources.list file from another computer running Deepin 12.06 but still no luck.

I also followed the link above suggested by cxbil but again the problem remains. Could this be caused by a corrupt file on the servers?

Here is the message I get. From what I can tell this is not a problem with any of the PPAs.
  1. http://mirrors.ustc.edu.cn/deepin/dists/precise/InRelease  Unable to find expected entry 'restricted/source/Sources' in Release file (Wrong sources.list entry or malformed file)
Copy the Code

Kind Regards

I copied the sources.list from my notebook and ran that. It has fixed the problem. Thank you to all who assisted with this.
