If you click on the icon "wine" in the repositories, the version is listed as "1:1.7.15".  The is also the current development version that is available from the Wine website.  However, after installing and opening 'Wine Configuration', I find from the 'About' tab that this is actually version 1.6.1 - this is not even the current 'Stable' version of Wine!
