Try using the dd command from any Linux distribution. It should be run like so:

dd if=Deepin2014.iso of=/dev/sdX bs=4M

where "X" is the device letter corresponding to that of the USB stick. See http://forum.linuxbsdos.com/topic/240/t ... dd-command

Hello, I've tried creating a USB flash disk and burning the image to a DVD, tried redownloading the ISO, and tried booting them on two different computers, but every time I try to boot the image I get:

"Missing operating system"

And the computer fails to boot. Is there a bug in the Linux Deepin ISO? Is there an English language guide to using the image that I should follow? I've tried burning with IMBburn in Window, tried using the flash drive creator, tried using FUSBi, Ubuntu Startup Disk Creator, and unetbootin. Nothing I do works.

have you tried Universal Usb Installer? or Livelinux usb creator? I used to install all of the linux distros with them.

Oliveryty, do you have a link to the Deepin Install Tool? I tried it once before, but now I can't seem to find it. I haven't tried it since the second time that I downloaded the ISO.

I did try the LiveLinux USB Creator in Windows. It did not work.

Also, the laptop I'm installing on is a System 76 Bonobo Extreme 7 (BIOS, not UEFI). The computers I created the startup disk on were a Dell XPS 2013 running Ubuntu and a Asus older windows laptop.

in the ISO file, have "deepin-boot-maker.exe" ,can run under windows system.

I've just tried using that command to create the bootable USB stick from Ubuntu. Everything runs okay, but when I go an try to boot it, I get Missing Operating System. Same problem on multiple computers.

Is there any way that I can get a pre-made Linux Deepin disc? I have spent so many hours on this and I am extremely frustrated.
