    Hi, I had to terminate a process that I needed to be in tty to do. After that i tried starting the xorg by typing
    1. startx
    Copy the Code

    is there something more i need to type? startx loads the graphics but only shows the wallpaper. Any help thanks

    which operation did you do ? The system will not be in this sate in default. Do you modify the compiz or install N card driver ?

    I was running a program and my computer stopped responding so i hit alt + f1 to kill the process using
    1. top
    Copy the Code

    after I killed the process I typed
    1. startx
    Copy the Code

    only the desktop wallpaper appeared but no icons or dock.

    I was using playonlinux and the game stopped responding
    I killed the process using ALT+CTRL+F1 for TTY
    1. top
    2. kill ID#
    3. startx

    playonlinux is based on wine，but now not all windows software can be run in wine.
