    So i got the idea to install the 3.17 rc5 kernel relase! and it broke my wifi driver so i tried to go back, but am having no luck, it also broke my login in manager(I dont know how) I can get in to my user but i have to go to TTY 2 and login that way then type startx. The issue with the login is that i type my password in (Yes its correct) the screen blinks then goes back to the login page. any help would be great.
    Here are my specs:
    computer: Macbook pro early 2011 13 inch
    its a 64bit system
    if you need more info let me know.

    When computer boots, select advanced mode in grub and enter into the old kernel to remove wrong kernel. The method is to execute the following commands in terminal:
    1. sudo apt-get --purge  remove linux-image
    Copy the Code
    -    ## double clock tab for completion to remove the wrong kernel file
    1. sudo apt-get --purge  remove linux-headers
    Copy the Code
    -  ##double clock tab for completion to remove the wrong kernel file
