I downloaded amd64 ISO - and created USB drive using "USB Image writer" program (using linux mint, my current OS)
The USB boots fine - but there does not seem to be "Live CD" option
It directly started installation

Is there a separate image or method to run 2014.2 RC in "Live CD" mode ?

Some (unrelated) problems:

The installer doesn't allow you to set mountpoints for existing NTFS and VFAT partitions (i.e. in "expert" partitioning mode). In order to add them, you have to edit /etc/fstab manually. (This is also true for Deepin 2014.1.)

The "open" dialog in Deepin Movie displays Chinese text on an English install (see screenshot).

NumLock does not stay on between sessions. When you log out, it turns off.

FYI... the Live CD works with Deepin 2014.1.  My question is that if I install 2014.1 does it matter if I to upgrade to 2014.2 (is it possible?) Can it be upgraded via Software Sources or one must create the installer and use the ISO?

What's are the differences between 2014.1 and 2014.2 that may or may not be necessary?
