Hello just installed the latest 14.2 release just wondering how I remove the desktop icons, I prefer a clean look.  Is there any way to do this?

Thanks for your question. Do you mean the computer and trash icon under classic and efficient mode ? If so, we will provide to remove in  the Deepin2015. If you want to remove the icons on dock, please click the icon to delete.

I agree with james0658.  I prefer a clean look too.

Ubuntu's new MATE 14.04.1 LTS has a tool called MATE Tweak which allows the user to remove desktop icons he or she may not want.  I like the idea MATE's Tweak tool.  It is a very handy tool for customization.

I'm glad to hear from Maggieszd that a way to remove desktop icons will be coming in Deepin's 2015 version.

Thank you,
