I sporadically use usb modem, when i tried to plug seems deepin does not show anything in network tray related to usb modem. What GUI modem manager to use ?

Currently i use sakis3g which is not quite convenient.

Hi armaline

Can you please try running the following in the Deepin Terminal:
  1. sudo apt update && sudo apt install modemmanager modem-manager-gui
Copy the Code

Those packages are in the Ubuntu Trusty Tahr (14.04) repositories, which Deepin 2014 is based on so they should hopefully be in the Deepin repositories.

Cheers
Kaabi

Hi Kaabi,

What i meant was not how to manage sms or sending ussm from modem like modem manager GUI (MMG) as you mentioned, but to manage how to connect internet using 3g modem. Did i miss the feature to make internet connection from it ?

In ubuntu we can easily connect from network manager (Mobile Broadband).

My friend told me to install this :
  1. sudo apt-get install network-manager network-manager-gnome
Copy the Code

Restart and it works good.

Modem manager is easy to install. You can use CLI or just download .deb package. It has very user friendly GUI.
