    Sometimes when I open Google Chrome the interface is black but completely responsive. I've downloaded various browsers and have had the same problem. Has anyone else experienced this issue? If so have you solved the problem? Thank you.

    I have experienced programs that minimized being black when they unminimized and I have resize the windows to get the content to appear.

    i have blacked out desktop when killing compiz, after restarting it's fine again likewise.

    just console:
    killall compiz
    compiz

    oh and i needed to deactivate HW-acceleration in chrome/ium, after doing so it's running fine.
