Hello  guys,

I'm having trouble installing deepin 2014.2, every option I've used be it using bootloader or UEFI, I keep going to a black screen with the (_) blinking. How do i fix this?

If you have mutliple drives, try unplugging the power from all the rest and only installing with a single drive running.

I'm installing this on my laptop, which only has 1 drive installed. 2014.1 works. But 2014.2 doesn't.

If you are able to install 2014.1 can't you just update to 2014.2?

Or are you getting the black screen after both the update or a clean install of 2014.2?

From fresh install.

Every time I try to update, it keeps breaking. Or it just hangs at 0% complete.

Does your Laptop use AMD or NVIDIA for its Video Chipset?

If so it might be an issue with the Linux Kernel that is used in 2014.2.

You could try installing the latest Linux Kernel in 2014.1 before updating to 2014.2 to see if that might help.

Here is a useful How to Upgrade the Linux Kernel...
