Using the Trusty ppa info available here - https://launchpad.net/~mc3man/+archive/ubuntu/trusty-media - I upgraded to the current VLC 2.2 in the hope that I would be able to playback x265 videos.

Unfortunately, although everything installed without errors and the VLC install has x265 plugins listed, I still get a "VLC could not decode the format "hevc" (MPEG-H Part2/HEVC (H.265))" error message.  Has anyone managed to get this working with Deepin 2014.2?
