Hello
I am new to linux but i have a few questions.
My first question:
Is Deepin 2014.3 also based on Ubuntu 14.04?
i was wondering this because of the LTS of ubuntu 14.04.
My second question:
I am using deepin for some time now but the system freeze´s a couple times a day(like 4 or 5 times).
I tried reinstalling it but it didnt solve anything.
Is this problem common and can it be solved?

Thanks in advance

Yes, Deepin is based on Ubuntu 14.04 I can't tell you something about daily freezes, because I run Deepin within a virtual box to need not to deal with UEFI and secure boot.

What I know is that it actually even freese when you are switching tty's or in other words consoles. form STRG+ALT+F7 to STRG+ALT+F1 for instance. This may have to do with your graphic driver Could you tell us a bit more about the kind of freezes you system have. When do they appear?

In other word's what are you doing before the system is going to behave like a fridge?

This would help the development team to track and trace the bug down to it's source, tremendously

Thanks for the quick reply!

It freezes during all kinds of task like during:
-Google Chrome(most of the times Google Chrome was open)
-Deepin Store(when updating for example)
-Gedit

Nothing special really just some basic things.

Maybe it caused by flash in Chrome. I also got this problem when I watch videos on Chrome sometimes.

I use adblock or ad terminator plugin as filter to block ad flashs

I figured out taht these freezes come form compiz. Compiz is deepli integrated in the deepin desktop ui and has some glitches. Theese glithces are responsible for alost all of the freezes mentioned abve. I am looking forward to hear the date for teh next public beta release. Teh developers will use gala instead of compiz for the next deepin. This will fix theese freezing bugs.
