Hi,

I am new to use the Deepin Linux. I woould like to use this OS permanently, but I can't connect to the another Windows PC in my office network. After I installed/removed the Samba and the configuration, finally I gotten this message in the screen: "Sorry, could not display all the contents of “network:///”: The specified location is not supported".

We use WIFI with internet, and I don't have any problem for the connection.

Thanks for advice.

Hello,

I am also a noob to deepin (well Linux in general)

I have found with all my Debian based distros i had to add the line below to the samba config file to see network shares.

File to edit
  1. /etc/samba/smb.conf
Copy the Code

Add this just below WORKGROUP = WORKGROUP
  1. name resolve order = bcast host lmhosts wins
Copy the Code

I would add that the name resolve order line should be shorter.

name resolve order = bcast host
