Does anyone have a favorite app you use for learning other languages? I know about duolingo, Rosetta Stone, Headstart, and JLU. It would be interesting to have an app deep-approved for learning mandarin or cantonese.

Don't know about deep-approved but there is Chineseskill "www.chinese-skill.com/" for Android.
There is also Anki "http://ankisrs.net/" wich offers Flashcards for Linux and Android, other OS's as well.

Yes i do, but i am very lazy. I have forgotten so much in the last 20 years it's really pathetic.

The Chinese Skill app is great - similar to Rosetta Stone. I haven't tried the other one yet.

If you want to learn Chinese online, you'd better to follow a native Chinese teacher. App is too thin to help you learn Chinese, and you have no idea how good you learn.
