I was having some trouble (still am) with an older Toshiba Laptop. Long story short, it has some yet to be identified hardware issue. In my process of elimination/troubleshooting, I needed to run more tests on the hard drive. The hard drive ended up docked to my NetBook. I was amazed at how smoothly Deepin 15 was running and that was through a USB cable.

Needless to say, I am now installing Deepin 15 directly onto the Acer NetBook.

Acer Aspire One
D257-1417
Intel Atom N570 / 1.66 GHz (dual core)
1GB DDR3 SDRAM

Ha! The 1024x600 screen is too small- I couldn't see everything I need to in order to set the time zone correctly; I had to hook it to an external monitor.

For some reason Deepin thinks this NetBook has a quad core... Funny.

The intel atom N570 is a dual-core processor but is backed by hyper threading technology which gives the OS a total of 4 logical CPUs to work with

I have also installed Deepin 15 on an ACER Aspire One NetBook with a single core processor. It shows 2 processors so the hyper threading tech must be boosting it too.
The single core NetBook runs fine too on Deepin 15.
I am very, VERY impressed with Deepin 15.
I now have it installed on *almost* everything

Yes I am very impressed with the Depth OS also. I have installed on my work station and 2 other computers as well. It does seem to require more hardware then others, but sounds like its working okay for you.

here's a screenshot that shows how the 1024x600 resolution doesn't show enough menu to change time zones.
The easiest remedy is to set the time zone DURING INSTALLATION.

Nice screen shots of you notebooks. It is possible to change time from command line, but like you say easier to set at installation.

Command line? I didn't know you could do that.
I did a bit of Googling and found the wrong way, but the terminal straightened me out... Hilarious!
