    • Nvidia low resolution problem after changing driver

    I just changed my driver for a propietary driver nvidia-358, and after reboot i'm stuck at 1024x768 resolution, and no other resolution appears, so i reverted and went back to open source driver, but then i'm stuck to this resolution too, when before i wasn't with this driver.

    What can i do?

    from the Terminal:

    1) cd /usr/bin
    2) wget -Nc smxi.org/sgfxi
    3) chmod +x sgfxi
    4) sgfxi (install driver, reboot)
    5) if you are gamer do this from deepin desktop: ctr+alt+f1 - to terminal
    login with your user and password
      sudo su -
      sgfxi
        i + enter

    Please do not install the Nvidia Driver before we fix it.

    I also tried both Nvidia driver options that were presented, none of them worked on my system and I was also stuck in low resolution after rebooting.  Checking with Synaptic, I saw that although I was using Nouveau, the Nvidia drivers were still installed.  After removing the Nvidia drivers with Synaptic, one reboot later, I was back to high resolution.

    I have read that Deepin is in the process of fixing the Nvidia drivers presented to user. But I also read Debian wiki that as of Debian 8 Jessie the need for Nvidia proprietary drivers is pretty much over.?
