Well is all the same issue of the mirrors. When they get the mirror issue fix, both updates and installing new applications will be quicker.

I did not receive a reply yet on my email to Deepin support.. I have a CentOS nfs home server with server hard drives. I see the instructions on your link, but does not say what kind of server is needed. HTTP or FTP or NFS ?
Also does not say what kind of connection is needed Permanent connection ? or will 5 MBit/s upstream cable modem work ? How to get more information ?

I've just been looking at the Deepin mirrors linked to above and have to say I'm surprised at how few are currently mirroring Deepin 15 - also, isn't naming Deepin 15, "unstable", a little obscure and not in line with clear naming conventions?  And, as I posted elsewhere, the Deepin 15 'change repository' function also seems to be broken - it would not change repository to a confirmed Deepin 15 mirror (University Of Kent UK).  I had to edit the sources file manually - after that, no more slow repository downloads.

Please be patient they are working to improve. This is there first release on Debian (sid) they had there reasons to do so.The control center is not supposed to change etc/apt/sources.list. It changes /etc/apt/apt.conf.d/99mirrors.conf You can manually modify etc/apt/sources.list but this will bypass the mirroring intelligent switching function that they are trying to implement.
