Hello everyone,
I'm a new adopter of Deepin and I love it.  I feel like its akin to ChromeOS without having to rely on webapps.  However, there are a few things I've noticed that I'd like to bring up.

  • WPS Writer:  It appears all other WPS suites show up on the dock, however WPS Writer does not.  In order to reaccess it (if you've minimized it) is to alt-tab to it.  This isa
  • Steam:  The usual and intended behavior of Steam on other desktop environments is when you click on the 'x' button it should minimize to tray.  This happens on Deepin, however, it also minimizes to the dock.  Thus, you have a redundancy.  You have a minimized Steam on the Dock, and the Steam icon on the notification tray.  Proper behavior should be that the steam on the dock should disappear, while the steam notification icon should stay.

There are other issues I'm still trying to figure out, like an option to manage keyboard backlight control (backlight timeout settings, etc).  Otherwise, I LOVE this distro so far!  Thank you!

On my systems the WPS Writer shows up on the dock. Also you can use the lower left hot corner to reaccess it.
Not every thing is perfect but the Deepin 15 desktop is awesome, beautifully designed and  much better than the other desktops I have tried.

Odd that it shows up on yours but not on my dock!  I wonder what it means if the issue is isolated on my system.  It's a fresh install.  Any ideas?  And I agree, I love the simplicity and aesthetics.

I check my other 2 systems and they also show up on dock. sometimes I need to shut system down and power back up.
If you use the writer all the time, you could add to dock.  You can right click in applications menu  and click Send to dock(c)

I have tried adding to the dock to no avail, however, uninstalling and reinstalling has seemed to solve my issues! I'll update the initial post to only include the Steam issue.  Thanks for the help

Your welcome glad the writer is functioning better for you now. I am not a Steam user so will not comment there.
