Hello
I'm trying to accomplish a VBoxSDL session to automatically start on login, and I'm trying to use gDevilsPie to throw that session to workspace number 2.  Has anyone had any experience with this? I've put my script to launch the VM session in /etc/init.d, and have tested it.  It seems like no matter what I do, DevilsPie doesn't respond to the VM session, it just sits on workspace 1.  Any info you need I'll be happy to provide to help make this work!

Thanks

I actually didn't know there was a devil's pie 2,  I'll have to take a look and check out your link! Thanks! will report back.
Edit: It appears that devilspie works with some commands but not others.  Using Deepin Terminal as a test subject, I could not set the window workspace, but I was able to maximize.  Perhaps the Deepin desktop environment does not support devilspie2 commands in regards to workspace?

Well that is possible. Because the roots of Deepin come from gnome that has evolved into its own especially with Deepin 15 this year qt5. So certain things like gnome tweak tool are no longer advised for Deepin.

shame.  My virtual machines aren't necessary for now, and I should have expected as much as far as support goes for such a young distro.  One can only hope for future support.

I run many Vm's manually but gave up automating power up due too my hardware. Was unable to automate xrandr scripts with a delay. My third and fourth monitor will power up and sync if I do it slowly manually.
