Hello

I been searching for a solution on how to eliminate screen tearing in firefox. i saw that people installed compton but thats on wheezy and ubuntu so im not sure how well this work on this, and i found a ton of guides how to fix this with ati and nvidia drivers, but non with stock intel haswell drivers.
i found a guide to edit the /etc/apt/apt.conf.d/80defaultrelease to get testing releases but there is no such file in there.
i also found to edit
  1. /etc/X11/xorg.conf.d/20-intel.conf

  2. Section "Device"
  3.    Identifier  "Intel Graphics"
  4.    Driver      "intel"
  5.    Option      "AccelMethod"  "uxa"
  6. EndSection
Copy the Code
i didnt have that file so i created it but it doesnt do anything either.

can anybody help me? i like to watch tv streams on firefox but the screen tearing take that fun from that.

kind regards

-n

Hmm the standard flashplugin-nonfree is version 11.2 . There is also a freshplayer plugin that tries to use pepper flash but it does not work well on firefox any more.My favorite browser right now is Slimjet the most customizable chromium based browser.
