I downloaded and installed the latest patches and whatnots... I open Google Chrome and see this message.

This poses a problem since Google Chrome is the only browser that works correctly and properly renders webpages that contain flash & java.

There are other 32 bit browsers that will render good on your flash and java.

No. This is on Deepin 15. I am trying to download 15.1 but the torrents aren't working correctly for the 32bit (i386)

We tried Firefox in the Java & Flash thread and that didn't work. What do you suggest?

Correction- I guess I am running 15.1 after the patches

So, I guess we need to talk about other browsers. If we could get Chromium to work, but I can't get Pepper Flash to install.

For the Deepin download I use the Sourceforge link. For the browser my recent favorite is Slimjet but it needs to be installed manually download the 32bit Deb package(.deb) and double click and the package installer will install. Or type sudo dpkg -i slimjet_i386.deb on the command line.Unlike opera or vivaldi it has a good flash built in it already.

The patches don't fully install the new stuff , like Steam, CrossOver and Deepin Cloud Print.

I really like the Browser it is the most feature packed and most customizable of any chromium based browser. It also boast that as long as you don't sign into google . It does not send any usage data back to google like chrome does.I chat with the programers , they are very smart.

Slimjet seems to be working

I'll run some more tests.

Part of the challenge of converting people over to Linux is it has to be familiar or better than what they are accustomed to. A lot of people play these silly little Facebook games, you know, Fruit Bubble Popper Farmtucky or whatever? Those silly things only work in Google Chrome. Chromium works in Ubuntu-based distros. Thankfully a lot of them are running 64bit machines with sufficient RAM so Deepin 15.1 in the 64bit version will reign KING, but the reclaimed/recycled/upcycled/repurposed pc crowd with 32bit systems, like me, that's where my fun begins.

Now on to installing a fresh Deepin 15.1

Thank you dance707 for your continued patient endurance

Your always welcome Twoguntom. When you get a chance can check out some of the advanced features on Slimjet like youtube downloading, quckfill, facebook integration, and advanced privacy settings. Remember though its not in Debian repositories. So have to update manually, it will notify you if there is a new version.

I'm actually surprised Google Chrome is pre-installed.  I thought that was against a license of some sort.

Google Chrome is to drop support for all 32-bit Linux distros from March, 2016.

But we have Firefox , but only Firefox , we Linux User need more Web Browser , look a Windows .
For Windows is there more than 30 Web Browser . LINUX ? that is sad

I've used it in 2011 and it was the best Web Browser
I hope it also comes for Linux to.

I am testing Vivaldi beta seems to work okay on linux but does not have the magic the original opera did. Palemoon has always been a favorite of mine. The new opera is okay for 64bit linux.  Liri browser is interesting but needs further development. I would like to see Qupzilla become fully qt5,

Cool, I'll watch for that.

Oh, after unblocking it, I went to Farville2 and the screen came right up. Personally, I'm NOT thrilled, but all the people I am converting over to Linux will be. I noticed in the process there is a dropdown box that lets you choose who gets notified of all the little useless notification- you don't have to SPAM everybody, you can actually select to have them sent to yourself only... who'da thought?!

And, QupZilla... I guess I'll have the browser trial frenzy going here in a few minutes...

Qupzilla is a very good browser for sites that have converted to HTML5 like YouTube. For older sites that still need the flash player to see video you will have same problem as firefox,. Qupzilla is in the repositories so no need to download.

Nobody said Chromium browser, the browser that was the base for Chrome. Chromium also supports the same APIs of Google Chrome, it's also fast, works with Pepper Flash exactly the same way as Chrome and has the same interface. It's possible to install Pepper Flash directly from Debian repos, so your pepper flash will always be updated.
