I usuall use dd command prompts in a terminal window to create a usb thuimbdrive to install Linux distros. This is what I did for Deepin 15 and everything went as anticipated.

With Deepin 15.1 this did not work. The usb thumbdrive failed to start and gave me errors when I attempted to install Deepin 15.1 on my pc.
I formatted the thumbdrive and created a new one with Startup Disk Creator. The resulting thumbdrive also failed to install Deepin 15.1 to my pc.
Another format and then I used Unetbootin. The usb thumdrive created with Unetbootin worked; Deepin 15.1 installed correctly on my pc(s).

I'm not sure what changed, or if this is a real problem. I just wanted to throw this out there in plain view for the good peeople at Deepin.

I was using Xubuntu 14.04.3 32bit for the download and usb creation

Possible your USB flash drive was not formated right before you used Deepin Boot Maker. If you previously used dd comands and had other ISO's on your flash drive then your USB needs to be formated as FAT32.

I conducted a quick test.
I used a different USB stick and Deepin Boot Maker and it created a USB jsut fine for installing Deepin 15.1.

I will resume tests and see if I can duplicate the errors I received previously.
