Have you tried to launch Audacity from command line ?

Have you tried to reinstall Audacity ?

Yes , I did just that and the error persisted. So I try to add the repository and run "sudo apt- get update " because I thought it might help , but after running the update I tried installing Audacity , and this error occurred

Sorry I am out of Ideas . There may be a conflict with other programs installed or a problem with configuration files.
Because from the screen shot its looks like all the tool bars are missing. But it is not just that because white screen.

In your applications you can launch  Deepin User Feedback  from there you can report the problem to Deepin
They will need your system information and the screen shots.

You can't use PPA for ubuntu on Deepin (debian). You should install it from Deepin repository only.

Maybe you can do this from your user home:

1) open terminal
2) cd
3) rm -fr .audacity-data

start  audacity from launcher

No many PPAs are not compatible with Debian, because the packages are built against specific Ubuntu libraries. I do have one PPA . but for the most part it is not recommend unless it was built for Debian.
And there is not need for it to install Audacity

"add-apt-repository" is an Ubuntu-specific script to add or remove repositories which, among others, automatically imports the public GPG key

Audacity is supported in Deepin 15.1  because its in the Deepin Store. But a ubuntu specific version is not supported.

Okay try to remove the old version and its configuration files Possible at this point libraries files may be messed up.
Also try to completely remove the ppa and make sure the Deepin default repos are set correctly.
