Deepin 15.1 Will Not Install

At first I wasn't concerned when Deepin 15.1 32bit would not install on a Dell Inspiron 531 with a dual core AMD processor. It would start to load the Deepin logo then freeze.

Then I tried to install Deepin 15.1 32bit on a Dell Dimension E521 last night and it gave me some sort of disk or boot error. This Dell also has a dual core AMD processor.

The thumb drive I was attempting to use was created with Deepin Boot Maker. I have used it on several other computers and it worked and Deepin installed just fine.

Both of the pc's boot just fine with UBCD 2.? LIVE (bootable usb) which is a debian-based diagnostic distro, and both boot just fine from usb into Xubuntu 14.04.4 32bit.

I thought I'd try making a bootable thumbdrive of Deepin 15.1.1 with Unetbootin, but that was a failure.

Thoughts?

Suggestions?

Hmm...

For some reason these 2 pc's don't like Deepin.

Something I noticed in all the experimentation:
Power on, F12 to get the boot menu, and ANY bootable usb shows as "USB HDD0"
except for Deepin.
2 different USB sticks, one with deepin 15.1 64bit, the other with deepin 15.1.1 32bit, each shows as "USB ZIP0".
In each case, the Inspiron will run as far as the deepin logo then stop, the other won't do anything.

clipping files, or not clipping files made no difference whatsoever

out of all the Dells I have in my possession from this era, these are the only 2 with AMD processors.

Maybe the fact they are older AMD cpu's  Maybe other users can post if they have installed okay ?

On the boot disk Deepin there is a deepin-boot-maker for MacOS, Windows, but  is no package for Debian ?
I have Debian, installed the package from the repository  Deepin:
  1. $ sudo deepin-boot-maker
  2. [sudo] password for q:
  3. deepin-boot-maker: /usr/lib/i386-linux-gnu/libstdc++.so.6: version `GLIBCXX_3.4.21' not found (required by deepin-boot-maker)
  4. q@mmm:~$ sudo apt-get install -f
Copy the Code

How to solve problem?
Thanks.

In linux, I prefer not to use Unetbootin or USB Boot Maker. I prefer to copy the ISO directly to USB flash drive:
  1. $ sudo dd bs=1M if=deepin-15.1.1-amd64.iso of=/dev/sdX
Copy the Code
Replace deepin-15.1.1-amd64.iso with the full path to your ISO file and replace /dev/sdX with your USB flash device (notice the bold X). You'll have to wait a few minutes until the copy finishes.

Warning: take care not to use a wrong device, you may totally erase your system/data hard drive disks. If your USB flash disk is mounted you may find your device with:
  1. $ mount | grep /media
Copy the Code
Or by looking at dmesg after inserting your USB flash disk:
  1. $ dmesg
Copy the Code
In my case my mounted USB flash device was: /dev/sdc

You can use even lighter command, like this:

  1. sudo cp your.iso /dev/sdX
Copy the Code

Or this, with a time elapsed/data transfer progress bar :-):
  1. # pv < deepin-15.1.1-amd64.iso > /dev/sdX
Copy the Code

1. To check, making a bootable USB flashdrive of Deepin 15 with Unetbootin and "dd"- All successfully!
2. Making a bootable USB flash of Deepin 15.1.1 and Deepin 15.1  with Unetbootin and "dd"- installation does not start!
3. The problem is in the installer Deepin 15.1.1,  that was a failure.
Thank you for your support and understanding!

Сhipset Intel G41.

That's strange, I had no difficulty with 15.1 ISO, haven't tested yet 15.1.1 ISO. Nothing starts when you boot the ISO? Any error? Maybe the downloaded iso files got corrupted? Have you tried to download again the iso's and retry? Does your PC has the latest BIOS/EFI firmware installed/updated? It may help.
