Hi, What is your hardware information, and are you letting the DDE fully power up before accessing the terminal ?

It is a different windows manager and terminal than others. Of my systems the oldest one takes a few seconds on first access to terminal. Additional access to terminal much quicker.
Some users have installed preload an adaptive readahead daemon that loads portions of the most used applications into RAM for quicker access. I have not tried preload but its in the repositories.

Deepin is now working on a new version of the terminal which, as thay have said, will be much quicker and has even more features.
Also all shortcuts will be the same as GNOME terminal's so that users from other linux distros will find it easy to switch to Deepin.
