Hello.
I just installed Deepin and I really love it... I have only one problem with it... I can't use a second monitor.

First a Little info:
No graphics card.
I have a Core i7 6700
I am running Deepin 15.1.1 64bits
16Gb ram,

My mainboard is a  h170 gaming 3. I am connecting the monitor on the left: benq Full hd with the HDMI cable, and the one on the right and HD  monitor with the VGA cable.

http://imgur.com/bCagJap

So i have a couple of scenarios:

1) I turn my cpu with the Benq Monitor connected with the Hdmi cable connected, the samsung one disconnected..

Everything is cool with one monitor. The os reconices it and it sets it at  1920x1080... now i plug the second screen and nothing happends... the os does not know that its there.
And this is what i see at  CONTROL CENTER - Display
http://i.imgur.com/hF7pxAz.png

2) both monitors are connected and then I turn on the computer.
Something weird happends here.... i see a mirror image in the monitors but the quality is less then the quality of the HD monitor, and at  CONTROL CENTER - Display i see the exact same thing as in the picture above but now i only see up to 1024x768

So yeah... I will really apreciate it if someone can help me. I don't this to be the reason to not use this Really Cool Os.

Thanks.

Hi, Welcome to the Deepin Forum. First of all should NOT plug in a monitor while the system is turned on, you could damage your hardware. Also you can use Deepin Screenshot to upload images to forum.  Usually a graphics card is required for dual monitor support. I am not familiar with your H170-Gaming 3 Motherboard. Most likely it will alow HDMI or VGA ,but not both at the same time. Have you been able to use both monitors at the same time on any other OS ?

Thanks for the answer. I tried using the screenshot utility.... but it's almost imposible to take a screensot of the Control Center.

And yes, In elementary OS, Linux Mint and Windows I have been able to use both monitors at the same time in a extended mode. This is why i am confused with Deepin.

Thank you for the information. To take a Deepin screenshot of the Control Center you can simply press the PrintScreen key on your keyboard. Your screenshot of the Control Center displayed above is with only one monitor connected. With both monitors connected are you able to select custom settings as shown in my screenshot ?

At this point I would use Deepin User Feedback in your applications to report this issue and your hardware information. I noticed you have the driver manager on your dock , are there any drivers presented to you ? It may be possible to configure your monitors from the command line. If you would like to try we will need some information from your terminal.

I will like to solve it, because if not. I'll have to move to another Os. Can you Private message me, or add me to an IM like Whatsapp or Telegram?

I did not see the output of the second command. Also do you have the Intel-microcode installed in your driver manager ?

You can see from my screenshot what a xrandr output normally looks like. Your output says Failed to get size of gamma and does not show what is connected.
It also does not even recognize your second monitor when connected. You would probably have better luck if you second monitor was DVI instead of VGA
It might be possible that the regular xrandr commands dont work with the Skylake technology.
Normally I would use a command like xrandr --output DVI-1-1 --auto --output DVI-1-2 --auto --right-of DVI-1-1
It probably will not do any good but can try turning off computer and plug second monitor back in and try xrandr --auto

I am reading some of the Ubuntu and Arch forums similar problems with the Intel Graphics (Skylake i7 6700)
Some of the Arch forums talk about modifying the Linux Kernel parameters
Sorry but I think the best thing to do would be to wait on Deepin's new up-and-coming new Linux Kernel that should be compatible with more hardware.
