Hi, have you installed the latest Deepin updates including the new Kernel ?

I'm up to date with Deepin 15.1.1. uname -r gives 4.4.0-2-deepin-amd64. Therefore I believe my kernel is 4.4.0. Is that right?

Also now the game will start after waiting around 1 in 3 times. Works alright but then crashes.

Hi, Yes you have the latest Deepin Kernel. Does your Deepin have trouble with other Steam games ? In your audio post you mentioned Asus Z97 is this on board video graphics using the open source driver ?

Ah good. Don't Starve, Gang Beasts, LIMBO and Bioshock Infinte all work fine. CS:GO is the only game that is giving us issues. I'm running a GTX 980 with the proprietary diver.

Under driver manager there is an Unknown device with the option for "intel microcode v3.20151106.1". Could the "intel microcode" be related to this issue? I've set it as both and I can't tell the difference.

The Intel microcode would have nothing to do with it and is usually best to install it, i don't know why it's referred to as unknown. Some of the Nvidia drivers have been know to cause issues with some of Deepin's apps and steam. This is why I ask the first question about the updates and Kernel. You might want to see this post regarding there Deepin Linux Kernel plan short and long term goals for better compatibility with hardware.

I've re-encountered this problem but this time got the 1 off error message:

"Failed to create GL context: Could not create GL context: BadValue (integer parameter our of range of operation)"

Googling that it seems like i'm missing lib-32 or something. What does that mean? What should I download? Does this help come up with a solution?

Hi, Steam is 32bit so the error refers to tring to load a library file from a directory in Nvidia. What version of the Nvidia driver are you using ?

Okay thanks for explaining. My NVIDIA driver is 352.79-2+deepin. Shouldn't 32bit version of things be installed by default as fallbacks? Let me know what to do next to help troubleshoot this.

Hi, Yes 32bit support should be provided and the error message does not necessarily mean that it is not. Actually I would hold off on trouble shooting and see if we get better hardware support in version Deepin 15.2,  this also may contain a kernel update. And hopefully they will provide a more recent Nvidia driver in the Deepin driver manager.
