Hi all,

I've installed Deepin on an arch linux installation and I'm facing two problems.

1 generic, 1 specific.

1) The spinning circle when I log in, is choppy...

2) I've installed FIrefox, and whenever I select ANY text, like when i select a small part of an article i'd like copied...or when i double click on the address bar
to select the url...I don't understand if the selection is there or not, because the selection color is a very stupid white-ish color..I hope you get it. Now you'll ask me,
why you didn't go to firefox forums and my answer is that I did go. But they said that text selection color is system related not app related. I think this is true because i looked around in firefox settings and didn't manage to find any setting for that matter. I looked in about:config too.

Weird thing is, that in any other app, I don't have this problem.

I tried messing around with the .css files from /usr/share/deepin-wm/css-contained.css but didn't get it.

So I guess...I'm somewhere in between ??

I could go to another browser, but firefox is the only one that works with proxychains. And seamonkey is ugly as shite.

Thank you

Hi, Welcome to the Deepin Forum for the main Debian based version of Deepin. I am not having that problem with Firefox as you can see from my screen shot is a default installation and settings. I don't think it is a issue with firefox or version either. Try selecting a different window theme in the Deepin Control Center under Personalization Window.

OK, I tried that to no avail. Even re-installed Arch and Deepin...but nope !!

anyway, I think I won't be using FIrefox !!

How about the choppy animated log-in loading circle ? Even after the re-install of arch
it's still there (although this might have to do with gpu drivers, dunno for sure)

Many thanks,

Cheddaaaar

Hi, I just tested my Virtual Box Manjaro Deepin its doing the same thing with firefox selection of text color white-ish. When i select Manjaro's Numix-ArchBlue in Personalization Window the white-ish color changes to blue so the Arch version must be currently having a issue with the default Deepin theme with firefox.
As far as the circle I dont know why its choppy on some machines.

Also,

deepin-screenshot doesn't start anymore after a *fresh* install.

After I launch the app...the cursor flashes to a screenshot "CROSS" then back to normal pointer again.

I'll try rebuild the package locally from AUR, see if that helps.

Also, what .conf file does the brightness slider in "DISPLAY" settings control ?

Many thanks,

Cheeseeeeeee
EDIT

Rebuilt the deepin screenshot package from the AUR, same thing.

Installed gnome-screenshot and it works just fine.

I think I should be posting to Arch community instead...

hmm :/

Sorry I have not encountered those issues here and don't see a brightness slider. Arch based Manjro used to have a section in there forum for Deepin I don't see it now.

Okay I see the brightness slider on my single monitor backup computer and it of course adjusts my brightness but on my dual monitor computer and my quad monitor workstation I don't see a brightness slider ?

Edit  I see them now I have to go into custom settings for me to see the brightness sliders on the multi monitor computers.
Thank you @cheddar I learned something today

The screenshot cross is so you can select a area of the screen to take a screen shot. Print screen key should take a screen shot of the entire screen and least in the Debian based version.

So, the app was crashing because of a missing openGL dependency.

Installed python-opengl and python2-opengl and everythings seems to
be working now.

Lagging loading circe animation and screen brightness is fixed after installing the Bumblebee packages.

Still no fix for firefox ! I will update.
