I was going to upgrade my desktop to Deepin 15.2, but every time I typed in my password, it would take me back to the login screen. When I hit enter (or the click the login button on the side) it shows the loading circle then return to login screen. I've also notice that my wireless keyboard and mouse no longer work. I had to use a wired mouse and keyboard.

Any help would be appreciated!

I do not know what is wrong, but I can tell you what I will do when I will have such problem.

quick diagnostic:

1) create new user from the console (ctrl+alt+f1)
2) reboot and try to log in the dde with new username

possible solution:

If this works as is expected, i should go to my home (same as before ctrl+alt+f1, login with my username) and remove deepin folder from .config folder. If not, maybe some one will have better solution for you. Good luck!

How to add new user from the console:

  1. sudo useradd newusername
  2. sudo passwd newusername
Copy the Code

I'm sorry for replying so late but, thank you for your reply! ?This totally worked!!!!!! I'm not sure about the keyboard; its a wireless keyboard and mouse with a usb adapter. I have not solved that yet. It connects some times, but most of the time it doesn't. I do appreciate your help!

I had this problem, the solution to which turned out to be surprisingly simple.  It turned out that I was completely out of disk-space!  Given that I have deep in installed on a tiny 32gb ssd, alongside win7 & winxp, this didn't surprise me greatly - until I went checking and discovered that deep in was after creating a log file that was over 1.5gb in size!  Deleting that and it booted normally.  Why deep in is creating huge log files is a different problem though...

https://bbs.deepin.org/user/32285 LOL, That would have helped me out three months ago when I was trying out Deepin in VM!
https://bbs.deepin.org/user/13649 A friend of mine said he was having that same problem; he was dual booting windows 7, maybe they'll fix that.
