    Hey! Deepin os does not have ibus pre installed but i need ibus to use my local language input, but after the installation ibus is still not working properly. I can't write using ibus methods, deepin layout is still on the top of ibus. So my question is how to enable ibus input method or how to disable default input in deepin linux. Any type of help will be highly appreciated.

    sadly it didn't work. Moreover, i can't even type anymore unless turn off ibus

    Did you find a different solution? I'm also running into this issue for ibus-anthy to get a japanese IME.

    sudo apt-get install --reinstall  ibus

    sudo apt-get purge fcitx
    sudo apt-get install ibus
