Hello everyone,I have been trying to get audio to work on a Gibabyte Brix (GB-BSi3-6100) through HDMI but no go.
If I plug into the standard headphone jack audio works no problem.

I can't see anything HDMI related on "Control Center"

But if I go with CLI :

I'm part of "audio" group
  1. $ id |grep audio
Copy the Code
uid=1000(jeremi) gid=1000(jeremi) groupes=1000(jeremi),4(adm),7(lp),24(cdrom),25(floppy),27(sudo),29(audio),44(video),46(plugdev),100(users),107(netdev),111(lpadmin),116(scanner)

And this is all the information I could gather :
  1. $ sudo alsactl init
Copy the Code
alsactl: sysfs_init:48: sysfs path '/sys' is invalid

Found hardware: "HDA-Intel" "Realtek ALC255" "HDA:10ec0255,1458fa56,00100002 HDA:80862809,80860101,00100000" "0x1458" "0xfa56"
Hardware is initialized using a generic method

  1. $ cat /proc/asound/version
Copy the Code
Advanced Linux Sound Architecture Driver Version k4.4.0-2-deepin-amd64.

  1. $ cat /proc/asound/cards
Copy the Code
0 [PCH            ]: HDA-Intel - HDA Intel PCH
HDA Intel PCH at 0xdf140000 irq 129

  1. $ cat /proc/asound/pcm
Copy the Code
00-00: ALC255 Analog : ALC255 Analog : playback 1 : capture 1
00-03: HDMI 0 : HDMI 0 : playback 1
00-07: HDMI 1 : HDMI 1 : playback 1
00-08: HDMI 2 : HDMI 2 : playback 1

  1. $ cat /proc/asound/modules
Copy the Code
0 snd_hda_intel

  1. $ aplay -l
Copy the Code
**** Liste des Périphériques Matériels PLAYBACK ****
carte 0: PCH [HDA Intel PCH], périphérique 0: ALC255 Analog [ALC255 Analog]
  Sous-périphériques: 1/1

  Sous-périphériques: 1/1

I heard some noise when I using "HDMI 1"
  1. $ speaker-test -c 2 -r 48000 -D hw:0,7
Copy the Code

Have you anyclue on How activate HDMI-1 by default ?
And why Control Center is not detecting this chanel ?

Thanks for your help.

Ok, I'm trying to us "pavucontrol" but this is not working

Pavu control center detect HDMI-2 has plugin.
After reboot, my Deepin control center show HDMI 2, but still nothing U_U

Salut. Have a look at the post by "deviland" further down on this forum page called "Deepin 2015-HDMI audio problem" where installing pavucontrol solved the HDMi problem for some members.

I had exactly the same problem... As far as I've read on the Internet we are not the only ones.
The configuration options in the control center are insufficient. pavucontrol allowed me to control more exactly the audio output and solved the problem.
