Hi, i use ChaletOS by default what is 14.04 64bit ubuntu based, near it i got deepin 15, i wanted update it but its freezed after 1-2hour...

-i formated the deepin partion and downloaded the newer 15.2
-ubuntu usb image writer wrote to usb (because i installed the deepin usb boot maker 64bit version but that not started after i tryed, have no error just not starting)
-booted from usb and selected english, then partition with 30gb size where was the previous deeping 15, then its started the progress bar and at end allways say "installation failed", no other message why or anything......

why can't install it easily like 15 or 2014.3?

Hello. Other forum members have had the same problem attempting to install 15.2 or upgrade from 15.1 to 15.2. After not being able to install 15.2, they were able to install 15.1 but were not able to upgrade to 15.2. Take a look at the posts on this forum for the last week or so and they may help you solve your problem. Good luck.

Yes, some program(s) in 15.2, perhaps the newer kernel, are preventing certain pcs from upgrading from 15.1 to 15.2 and from installing 15.2. Hope the Deepin staff can fix this issue. A few people with this issue have said they will stick with 15.1 until issue is resolved.

I do not know. The mirrors are tricky You could try changing mirrors-- the official mirror has been fairly fast lately, but I'm in California, USA; so it might not be the best for you. That said, I have had good success with the [NL] NLUUG and [GB] University of Kent mirrors and they are both very far from my location. So I would give each mirror a little time to see how fast it really is.

Too bad the upgrade process is not working as it should. Perhaps you should wait and stay on 15.1, as another forum member in the same situation as you is doing,  until there is another Deepin update to 15.3 ( or whatever ), and install or upgrade to it. It's better than no Deepin at all. Sorry I cannot be of more help.

Let's hope not, for " shadowvzs" is just but one of a few forum members, who, for as yet unknown reasons,  is having a problem installing or updating the latest version of Deepin OS. Deepin OS, according to Distrowatch.com, is the 14th most hit upon Linux distro in the world. Hence, the overwhelming majority of people who attempt to install it must succeed without problems. Since you already have Elementary OS on your pc and wish to install Deepin OS alongside it, if Deepin does not install successfully, you will still have your current OS. Success depends on how one's pc is set up and what architecture it has. Good luck.
