"Root console locked..." in Recovery-mode.

I have 2 Deepin installations of two different partitions.  One is 15.2, the other, 15.3 (both Desktop).  With both, whenever I try booting to a root-terminal in Recovery-mode, I am informed that 'the root console is locked' and I am promptly dumped back to the Recovery options menu.

Question: how can essential stuff like this not work?!?!?  It's identical on both systems, both installations are on different SSD's, so I'd wager that it's the same with everyone else.  We are talking about Recovery-mode - THIS STUFF HAS GOT TO WORK!  One of my Deepin installations (15.3) will no longer boot, after I installing AMD Ratheon drivers 'manually', and I have no way of trying to fix it if Recovery-mode won't work.

From where did you got Deepin 15.3 if from the official website there is only deepin 15.2?

I have the same problem with root on recovery mode and I've been trying to solve it, but I haven't got lucky yet ):
