Does anybody know how to get Deepin 15.4 to scale like my Windows boot does?
I haven't had to use my Windows boot in over a year.
I'm asking because I upgraded my monitor (55" 4K).

Open screen settings and change the resolution to something bigger.
That's all.

That's all.

The resolution is the largest at 3840 x 2160.

At this resolution things become small and hard to read. To fix this operating systems use desktop scaling, so users can read screens easily at high definition.

It seems that High DPI is not yet supported in Deepin 15.4, but it may be implemented in the next version.

Maybe there's a third party software would do the scaling things?

What if kept Deepin and switched the Desktop Environment?

Pantheon is supposed to have excellent HiDPI support (https://www.maketecheasier.com/best-linux-desktop-environments-for-hidpi-displays/)

Would this work? Where do I start?

I have switched back to Windows on that computer because of this

I noticed there is no mention of High DPI support in planning https://www.deepin.org/en/developer-community/planning/

From forum posts elsewhere I as under the impression it would be in the Jun 15.4.1 release.

Any update on High DPI scaling? (like Pantheon or Windows)

HiDPI (4K UHD) support is planned with Deepin 15.5, that's why you cannot read it in current planning page.

Even without the system support for hiDPI, I can manage it with Nvidia and Intel cards, not sure about AMD ones but they probably have DPI management, and remember that in Linux all you see on screen is managed by the graphic card. Which video card you have?

sudo gedit /etc/X11/20-nvidia-config and then put this in order Option "DPI" "96 x 96".
96 x 96 is the default on most systems, but you can put what you want, there are some pages which offer the "best" numbers for your screen and resolution. Some time ago I published a post with some tips for Nvidia cards: https://bbs.deepin.org/post/144008#
