    I am new to linux world
    The installation page of Deepin suggests more than 2gb RAM but I have only 2gb ram with 2.40ghz processor should I go for deepin or look for some other distro

    I find deepin very attractive so if anyone could please tell me to go for it or drop the idea.

    just do it.
    if it work slowly on your hardware,then try another one.

    me: pentium dual processor(2.2ghz), 2gb RAM, 4g swap.
    The computer works well.

    If you use Linux for work, I suggest you better not use deepin.
    But you're a new Linux user,you can't be using Linux for work.
    So,why not!!!!
    Install it ,and enjoy deepin!

    Checking your Display card first.

    750ti and GTX980 might bring you some mistakes when you intall deepin...

    Kubuntu 17.04 is suitable for you, it will use less RAM than Deepin, Ubuntu and Ubuntu GNOME as it start

    and you can install 64bit version, the use of RAM and hard disk is nearly as same as the 32bit version
