Well, China is not better. Alot of companies in China are forced to give out user data to the CCP. If they don't comply, the company will be banned.

Not only that, but the US forces big websites like Baidu, and Yandex to hire westerners to be on their board of directors so they can supervise and make sure these websitese are run in a pro western way that is not hostile to western interests. If you don't comply, then your entire website gets shut down. There's the difference, and that's a very BIG difference. Putin has talked about this publicly.
