    When I try to delete a repository in Synaptic Package Manager,   Synaptic immediately closes.   When I run Synaptic again the repository I wanted to delete is still there.

    How can this problem be resolved?

    I don't know if anything can be done with Synaptic, but I think the following commands will help you remove the OCE Release of FreeCAD. Your mileage may vary.
    1. $ sudo rm /etc/apt/sources.list.d/freecad-maintainers-oce-release-raring.list
    2. $ sudo apt-key del 19BB5BCA

    I used the first option '$sudo rm'  ...  and it worked.
