    I just installed 20.8 on three different laptops using the same USB to do so. Curiously, on one of the laptops there is no option for docking the workspace switcher: Control Center>Personalization>Dock>Plugin Area >(no option)

    Could it be because this is an older laptop?

    Try to find the driver. I haven't encountered this problem. Maybe the kernel doesn't have an integrated driver. You can try to replace it with 5.18 kernel. If it still doesn't work, use the translator to talk to the Chinese deep forum and find a solution. The Chinese forum staff are more active. Because I use the translator, the translation content may be different.
