Native "Email" Client does not work

Im trying to login in gmail on native "email" application of deepin but every time i've tried it says the same message "conection failed, please checkout your email and password" whitch its right.

Im already has setted the IMAP settings on gmail ON and POP too and tried the 2 types of protocol but none of them worth.

And i tried on Mailspring App taken directly from deepin store, and its working perfect.

There is something more i can do?

Problem reproduce frequency

This happens because two-step verification is set in Gmail, so instead of entering the Gmail password, you have to generate an application password from your Google account and it works without any problems.

Then probably the servers settings for Gmail are't correct.

Verify if

Gmail IMAP settings

Option Description
IMAP Host: imap.gmail.com
IMAP Port: 993
Requires SSL: Yes

and

Gmail SMTP Settings

Option Description
SMTP Host: smtp.gmail.com
SMTP Port for SSL: 465
SMTP Port for TLS/STARTTLS: 587

If you have already checked and confirmed that your Gmail login credentials are correct and you have enabled the IMAP/POP settings in your Gmail account, then the issue may be related to the configuration of your native email client in Deepin. Here are some suggestions to try:

  1. Check the network connection: Make sure that your device is connected to the internet and the network connection is stable. You can try accessing other websites or services to verify the network connectivity.
  2. Check the email server settings: Verify that you have entered the correct server settings for your Gmail account in the native email client. You may need to check the documentation or contact the Deepin support team for assistance with the correct server settings.
  3. Try disabling any firewall or antivirus software temporarily: Sometimes, firewall or antivirus software can interfere with the email client's ability to connect to the email server. Try disabling these software temporarily and see if that resolves the issue. https://bbs.deepin.org/en/post/254483?id=254483&limit=20&offset=0&postId=1457137/cut the rope
  4. Try updating your Deepin OS: Sometimes, updates to the operating system can include bug fixes or improvements that may resolve the issue. Make sure that your Deepin OS is up to date with the latest patches and updates.
  5. Try using a different email client: If the issue persists, you may want to consider using a different email client, such as Mailspring, that you have already confirmed to be working correctly.

I hope these suggestions help resolve the issue. If you continue to experience problems, you may want to reach out to the Deepin support team or the Gmail support team for further assistance.
