While trying to install wine32 I get the message:

Some packages could not be installed. This may mean that you have

requested an impossible situation or if you are using the unstable
distribution that some required packages have not yet been created
or been moved out of Incoming.
The following information may help to resolve the situation:

The following packages have unmet dependencies:
wine32:i386 : Depends: libwine:i386 (= 4.0-2) but it is not going to be installed
E: Unable to correct problems, you have held broken packages.

I've tried fixing this using:

Synaptic

sudo apt install -f

sudo dpkg --configure -a

sudo dpkg -l | grep ^..r (nothing gets listed)

None of these has fixed the problem.

What am I missing/not doing. What do I need to do?

Thanks for any help
