    看了Beta版的manifest，目前版本是perl5.12

    根据我的理解，这个Perl算是linux的核心组件之一，会关联到其它许多软件，是不能随便升级的，牵一发而动全身啊！

    perl对旧脚本的兼容性极好，新版本的功能都要用use 5.0XX才能打开，甚至很多perl 1的脚本都可以在perl 5上运行，所以把perl5.12升级到perl5.14不会引起什么问题吧……

    这个肯定不会升级。没有任何需求，不会带来任何明显的好处，反而多了一个不稳定点。
    这种底层的软件，没有特殊原因的话，一定会跟着上游走的。
