It will be restored soon, or to be precise, till version 3 of it. Sorry for the inconvenience and thank you, Platypus, for your suggestion.

I really like the software center for simple down loads and searching for packages. I use Synaptic for more complex solutions.
However, I would like to see a check box added to the update window to allow all the updates to be downloaded and installed. At the moment each one has to be individually clicked to download. This is a long process when there are a lot of updates to down load.
