Well I've tried a lot of workarounds I found with no results. How come something so simple is not possible in deepin. I'm seriously thinking to move back to Windows

Hi fabrici0, your problem is about executing a command at startup, try add
  1. xgamma -gamma 0.7
Copy the Code

to the end of ~/.profile which is executed every time you log in.
And, it's normal to feel uneasy when you move to an unfamiliar system, don't give up easily!

So, In my thought: DeepinOS does not reduce screen light intensity, but do tricks with dark layers in front of the screen.
My eyes still feel sore even when the screen is in a "low light" position. Some say this is probably due to lack of driver support for screen backlight. But come on guys!  the age of my laptop has been 5 years! in other distributions this light control works well. Thanks.
