Deepin's Facebook page mentioned this:

While we wait for the patch fix, this should keep us occupied ;)

chromium needs addons, but they aren't available (pepperflash), apt doesn't work in the terminal, the software add/remove thing is silly and not well stocked, I couldn't install any other browsers.... a sad distro indeed.

It does "look" nice though

No, but there is this thing called "google"...

I guess you are referring to the Arch Users Repository?

Manjaro Deepin has a "ackage Manager" but it is very limited in its usefulness.

I Downloaded SlimJet in the tar.gz format in hopes of getting a browser that would work, but MJ Deepin didn't know what to do with it.

Ah... wait a minute... I had to get my Indiana Jones hat and bullwhip...

In the "preferences" in the "ackage Manager" there is a switch for "AUR" and it is turned off. Lemme turn it on and see what happens...

The AUR switch under preferences opened up the AUR in the Package Manager, but it won't build the pepper flash package.

well, how about that?!
I got it to work.
Holy crap! I felt like I was flying the space shuttle there for a minute just trying to install Pepper Flash... That is entirely too difficult to operate to just perform very simple tasks. It is things like that that give GNU/Linux a bad name and make it difficult to convince people to try it.

The *real* Deepin is very simple to use with little to no additional setup required. That's the way it should be.

But, alas my curiosity is nagging me... so I'll see if I can bend this Arch Linux abomination to my will, or blow it up...

The Deepin community coffee lounge is open to pretty much anything as long as it does not break community rules.

While Deepin cooperates with the transplant of the Deepin Desktop Environment in to other distributions it would be appropriate to seek there communities for support issues with there distribution.

Funny. I just happened to mess around with Manjaro as well. Got their "net" version though, building my own little desktop environment right now. Super inspired by the Deepin project.
