    Try with sudo apt install modem-manager-gui it always helped me on most Debian based distros with 3G-4G modems or cards. Anyways check if your device is blocked, rfkill list all and then rfkill unblock all or rfkill unblock ... If you don't have rfkill simply sudo apt install rfkill, greetings.

    No ... i meant why is a

    'Mobile Broadband Card'  section not present in the network settings

    you have
    'Wired Network Card'
    'Wireless Network Card'

    shouldn't 'Mobile Broadband Card' be a part of the network devices list too ?

    after installing 'gnome-network-manager' applet and able to manage my 4G mobile broadband card, But why can't i do the same without installing 'gnome-network-manager' ?

    Shouldn't an OS inherently pick up all network devices on the system ?

    let me know if you still didn't understand what i am trying to say ...

    Currently，only 'Wired Network Card' and 'Wireless Network Card' are supported.

    Do you mean using a computer with Deepin OS to manage the phone and information on your SIM card?Or the use of SIM card traffic?

    no ... i have a pcie UMTS/LTE card ... a Mobile Broadband card/device ... gnome-network-manager picks up this device in other linux distro's ... I have started this thread to inform Deepin Support that they forgot to manage this category of devices (Mobile Broadband Card - WWAN) within their network control settings.

    I am however managing this device for the lack of Deepin OS on this front with gnome-network-manager-applet in system tray ... but i would like to see them cover Mobile Broadband devices as well within their network manager.

    hope there is a possibility of adding support in future ? ... gnome-network-manager supports it ... hope to see deepin network manager support it too !!!
