Hello everyone.

I installed Firefox manually and after unpacking, put it inside the / opt / folder. See:

  1. sudo mv / opt / firefox * / / opt / firefox-quantum
  2. sudo ln -sf / opt / firefox-quantum / firefox / usr / bin / firefox-quantum
  3. echo -e '[Desktop Entry] \ n Version = 1.0 Encoding = UTF-8 \ n Name = Mozilla Firefox \ n Comment = Web Browser \ n Exec = / opt / firefox-quantum / firefox Icon = / opt /firefox-quantum/browser/icons/mozicon128.png\n Type = Application \ n Categories = Network '| sudo tee /usr/share/applications/firefox-quantum.desktop
Copy the Code

It opens normally, but when I put it as the Primary Browser, it does not open external links, and when I right-click an HTML file and choose Open As-> Set Default Program, it does not appear. Even when I click Add Other Programs and I go to the / opt / folder, it does not appear. How do I turn Firefox into a Default Program?

Have you set Firefox as the default browser in the pop-up window  of Firefox?

Hi, aida. Yes. It is the default in the browser itself.
