    Hi, although this error is common on the internet however I couldn't fix it after trying many commands in many ways that I found on the internet forums.
    I got this error after follow this https://bbs.deepin.org/post/37873
    modprobe: FATAL: Module vboxdrv not found in directory /lib/modules/4.14.0-deepin2-amd64
    Version Deepin 15.5

    sudo apt-get install linux-headers-deepin-amd64  , maybe you have't the headers for kernel,and  update virtualbox to new version 5.2.2 in deepin repo.

    Same problem here, after upgrade to 15.5
    Deepin version: 15.5
    VirtualBox version: 5.2.2

    Tengo el mismo problema, luego de actualizar a la version 15.5 virtualbox da ese mensaje y no puedo usar ninguna de mis maquinas virtuales.

    Try to do what it says:
    sudo apt-get install --reinstall virtualbox-dkms
    sudo modprobe vboxdrv

    Thanks guys, I couldn't solve the problem after having done the following operations:
    - updated linux headers for my kernel version
    - reinstalled virtualbox and virtualbox-dkms
    - tried to recompile virtualbox modules with sbin/vboxconfig with updated kernel headers
    - and many other commands

    I solved the problem desabling "Secure Boot" in the BIOS-UEFI configuration, at the moment I don't know how make virtual box run with secure boot enabled.

    It looks like the Virtualbox module is not compatible with kernel 4.14.
    Probably the Deepin team forgot to update the virtualbox-dkms package in the repository.
    Try installing it using this .deb file: http://ftp.fau.de/debian/pool/ma ... sg-1+deb7u1_all.deb
    That's a newer version but as just the patch version is higher,I don't know if it makes a big difference.
