    After updating the system, with the 2018.12.13 update my grub was different than it was before.
    Is this right?

    Yes, they have updated the grub menu. In the update description it says:

    "* Supported automatically detecting screen resolution for grub theme;"

    Just go to System Information -> Boot Menu and turn on the Theme. It will give back the old menu.

    Yep, but new/old theme now looks really ugly: I think, I should modify theme.txt file to make it look better, because current theme, especially fonts are terrible
