First of all my deepest respect goes to Deepin and everyone who put their hearts & brains behind it!
This is best DE out there from all OSes and DEs, i admire & share absolute most of design & aestethic ideas behind this work.
It's beautiful, light, intuitive, yet very performant.
I think you're just few clicks away from making this OS main & uncompromised weapon of choise for a lot of musicians / designers / artists like myself.
Keeping that way in mind i really want to help hunting bugs, improve it, suggest few detials and improvements which i'm sure everyone would only benefit from!
FEATURE REQUESTS
------------------------
Settings
Audio advanced settings
As audio professional i would love to see ability to change system-wide options (for currently selected audio output):
1. bit depth
2. Sample rate
3. Channels (not necessary, but why not)
As far as i understand it's equivalent of /etc/pulse/daemon.conf, sure you can do this with pulseaudio interfaces or jack, but why if you can have it beautifully done in Deepin DE already
Monitor advanced settings
1. Color bit depth (8 / 16 / 24 / 32 bit)
2. bpc (8 / 10 / 12 bpc)
Again it's important to have easy and straightforward approach to changing and insuring those options (for example in Manjaro Deepin with some videocards / monnitors for some unbelieavable reason default color depth is 24...And it's not so easy to fix this, as it should be)
Color profiles
1. Ability to choose from common ICC profiles
2. Ability to load custom created ICC profile
3. Separate program to calibrate (but this is really optional, since there are a lot of reliable software for this already. no need for system-level)
This is very important for some of professional designers/photographers, who happen to have monitors liek NEC SpectraView.
Basically pretty good implimintation of how it should work in Linux world is Linux Mint.
Deepin image viewer
1. Settings for Window, with "On close behaviour" dropdown which would have:
1) Default (as it is now)
2) To keep window size (include maximize window) & window position
For example myself would anyway use 2, but without this settings it is just time-consuming.
2. Keyboard shortcut for right mouse button - Show image information, (Something like Ctrl + I would be cool i guess).
3. Image information | for all images to show image's own ICC profile (if it's applyed)
4. Image information | for all images to show color depth
Deepin movie
1. DVD / BLU-RAY placyback with interactive menu support & ability to manually choose disc / folder
English (ac3, 48000 Hz, 5.1, 384 kb/s) [default]
German (PCM, 44100 Hz, 2.0, 1411 kb/s)
Now in 90% of times on all of my tested files & movies sound tracks named like 'default', 'audio stream'.
This is really bad, coz most valuable info here to choose would be either language, or format / quality.
Settings
1. Remember file / DVD / BLU-RAY playback position on close (now only file seems to work)
2. Preferable audio language (list with prioprities, example: eng, ger)
3. Preferable subtitle language (list with prioprities, example: eng, ger)
All of this keeps me from actually not installing VLC anymore, coz otherwise Deepin movie is way better & more performant!
Deepin screen recorder
1. Obviously needs some controls / quality setting for bitrate & colors of both .gif / .mp4.
Now it's really low
FIXES
------------------------
Open / Save dialog
Should save size globaly, like Deepin explorer's windows.
If you have big screen and wish to see more files at once - first thing you would do is make dialog bigger, but you have to go with it each time again.
Deepin image viewer
Small bug, if you open it normal / small sized window, then press show info about image, then resize it bigger or maximize - the info dialog won't resize with window.
Window icon
Surely you know, but all of non-deepin programs have same icon for maximized / non-maximized window
Firefox
Should have some easier options to go without title bar (probably honor it's internal setting if it's possible)
