    The deepin-screenshot 4.1.11-1 for some reason has some serious issues, for example, the squared/circled blur effect, doesn't work. Adding text doesn't work either. Finally, it got fixed with, deepin-screenshot 4.2.1-1 update!

    Cannot reproduce on my machine, but fyi there is no "filled with color" feature in deepin-screenshot.

    There is no "filled with color" feature in deepin-screenshot, my mistake, this is blur effect!

    The problem it appears to be since deepin-screenshot  4.1.10-1.
    Before that version, at  4.1.9-1 everything is working fine.

    I'm glad to hear that blur effect got fixed, but typing text is an feature that doesn't work too!

    There are still problems with the screenshots on the HiDPI, I am watching.

    On my machine, text input is normal.

    If you are using deepin-screenshot 4.1.11-1 on HiDiPI screen and try to type you can't do it 100%.
    I've downgraded to deepin-screenshot 4.1.9-1 and everything is normal.
    I'm wondering why new updates broke features that were working fine.

    Deepin DE is the most beautiful desktop environment in the world.
    And Deepin 19.10 is the most buggy linux distribution i've ever try.

    It's a pity, because 15.9 worked perfectly.
    Time to leave deepin for a plasma based distro.
    At least there the system does not freeze, the applications work properly as kwin also...
    And the creators of distributions do not call beta versions as official versions

    It's nice for a system to be "eye candy", fast, simple...
    But the most important thing for an operating system is just can work. And deepin 15.10 can't...

    I agree with you.
    They should spend more time on debugging and then release an update for any deepin application.
    The strange thing is that ,they make an stable version of a deepin application and then they release a buggy update that it ruins everything!

    You could get ideas from flameshot, a screenshot tool with better blur effect (it supports multiple blur layers!).
